Dr. Ernst G. Bartsich is a practicing Obstetrician/Gynecologist. He began his medical studies in Germany and completed his residency at The Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. After many years as a successful and respected gynecologist, he began researching treatment methods for uterine fibroids, as well as a variety of fertility techniques. Dr. Bartsich began applying operative hysteroscopy to fibroid removal in 1975, and he spent the next ten years mastering the technique. Because of his accomplishments with alternatives to hysterectomy, he has appeared on several television shows such as "Good Day New York" and "Fox 5 Live", and was interviewed by Tom Brokaw. Dr. Bartsich has been a guest on several prominent radio talk shows and is featured in numerous magazines and newspaper articles concerned with women's health. In 2001, New York magazine him as one of the city's top physicians in its annual "Best Doctors" feature. Dr. Bartsich is one of the more accomplished surgeons in his field, with a private practice on East 70th Street. He is affiliated with New York Hospital/Weill Cornell University Medical Center, where he is a Clinical Associate professor of OB/GYN.
