Uterine Fibroid Tumors Treatment - Doing Nothing
In consultation with your doctor, you might consider taking a "wait and see" approach to your fibroids. If you do, be sure to visit your doctor for a review in three to six months. What you decide will depend on your individual case.
You might choose to wait if:
- The fibroids are small.
- The fibroids are not interfering with sexual or other body functions.
- The fibroids are causing you only minimal discomfort.
- You are approaching menopause. As estrogen production decreases during menopause, the fibroids might stop growing, and may even shrink.
Remember, if the symptoms of fibroids are interfering with your enjoyment of life and work, or are affecting your personal relationships, you have a number of options to improve your health and happiness.
