of New York Magazine's Best Doctors

in which doctors rate their peers. Dr. Ernst G. Bartsich was selected
as one of New York's best within the category of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
New York polls 20,000 area physicians, asking them to whom they would

Dr. Ernst G. Bartsich is a Clinical Professor of Gynecology at Weill
Cornell Medical College as well as an Associate Attending physician in
the Department of Obstetric and Gynecology at The New York WeillWeill
Cornell Medical Center in New York City. He began his medical studies
in Germany and completed his residency at The Columbia Presbyterian Hospital
in New York City.
After many years as a successful and respected gynecologist, he began
researching treatment methods for uterine fibroids, as well as a variety
of fertility techniques. In 1975, Dr. Bartsich began applying his new
operative hysteroscopy technique called "myomectomy." A myomectomy
removes the fibroid tumor, preserving the uterus and other reproductive
organs, thus avoiding a hysterectomy.
Dr. Bartsich is one of the most accomplished surgeons within the field
of Gynecology. He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA),
the New York County Medical Society, the New York Society of Reproductive
Medicine and the New York Obstetrical Society. Dr. Bartsich has also received
numerous awards and honors including the prestigious AMA Physician's Recognition
Award certificate, and he is also a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics
and Gynecology
